4 Great Brockville Events Happening Downtown This August

Brockville is filled with great attractions that both locals and tourists can enjoy.  It's one of the reasons we have such a great community.  Our downtown is filled with great ways to mix, mingle, and meet new people - whether they're from down the street or halfway across the continent.

August is going to be filled with great Brockville events and activities downtown.  Here's a taste of what's to come.

Four Can't-Miss Downtown Brockville Events in August

1. Rails to Trails Festival (August 10-13)

This year's biggest waterfront festival in Canada has to be Rails to Trails, commemorating both Canada's 150th as well as the reopening of the historic local railway tunnel.  There's truly something here for everyone, from great local music acts to the world's biggest rubber duckie!  Why?  Because why not!

And while you're there, make sure to make time for...

2. Brockville Ribfest (August 10-13)

Just a short walk down the riverfront, the Brockville Ribfest will be going on concurrently to Rails to Trails.  This isn't just going to be one of the biggest and most mouth-watering Brockville events ever, it's also for a good cause!  Proceeds go to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, helping Canadian youth while filling your tummy with the best in Canadian eats.

3. Downtown Funfest (August 19)

As if Rails to Trails weren't enough, just a week later we've got another great festival - Downtown Funfest on King St.   It's a day long street party, running from 9am to 4pm, full of music, shopping, and great family activities.  The shops will be running specials, and it'll be full of activities for the kids to enjoy.  Also, make sure to check out the great local farmers' market!

4. Red Hot & Blue Rockabilly Jam (August 31-Sept 3)

Rounding out August and heading into September will be one of Brockville's signature music festivals - the Rockabilly Jam!  This celebration of down-home Canadian culture doesn't just feature four straight days of DJs and live bands.  It's also a celebration of history, including a vintage market, car and clothing shows, and special exhibits at the nearby Brockville museum.  At Rockbilly Jam, you can go retro in a big way!

We're super-proud of our local culture here in Brockville, and we hope you can be a part of it.  Please contact us for more information about upcoming events!
