Twin-pad Development

The City of Brockville is planning to build a twin-pad facility in the next two years. City Council had previously decided to renovate the Memorial Centre. New information, including a donation to purchase the old Phillips Cables Property (Junic lands) and a partnership with the Upper Canada District School Board, reopened the discussion of building the facility just west of the downtown core. See our infographics below covering pros and cons, impact on businesses, and more!

A NEW staff report recommends the twin-pad to be located in the south end.

We strongly support the development of a twin-pad facility in the south-end. We would love to hear your thoughts, and encourage you to contact your councillors to share your opinions (find their contact information below).

You can attend the following meetings to show your support:

Twin-Pad Committee Meeting: Monday, December 11th 4:00pm, City Hall Boardroom

City Council Meeting: Tuesday, December 12th 6:00pm, Council Chambers
